Experience the stunning ironworks village in winter attire
The Fiskars ironworks village is located in a river valley known for its rich natural environment, featuring noble trees and lakes. From the historic buildings and ironworks setting, trails lead through open farmland and into the peaceful, snow-covered forest.
A trip to the Rissla lean-to shelter
The Rissla forest trail (approx. 4 km) takes you along paths and roads through nearby forests to the structures of the old Rissla power plant and the Rissla waterfall. The route starts and ends close to the center of the ironworks village.
Downhill skiing with the family at the Påminne slopes
The Påminne ski slopes offer thrilling fun for the whole family. The ski resort is located just 7 km from the Fiskars ironworks village. The center has 6 slopes plus Påminne Park, offering suitable runs for beginners as well as competitive skiers. Påminne also has a well-equipped rental service.
Winter exhibitions at the KWUM Ceramic Museum
The magnificent KWUM Ceramic Museum is a must for culture lovers. The winter ceramic exhibition features glass art by Ritva-Liisa Pohjalainen, Asian antique utilitarian ceramics from excavations in the Philippines, and works by designers Ville Heimala, Matias Karsikas, Markku Salo, Kim Simonsson, Heli Säde, and Björn Weckström.
KWUM is located in Upper Ironworks, within a pleasant walking distance from the hotel. You can also reach the museum by car, with parking available directly in front.
